About 50 students and teachers gathered round as Mr Shvertsman shared special moments of strategy building and creative playing styles with tomorrow’s Draughts players. Mr Shvartsman is available throughout the week to answer questions and interact with Mind Sports enthusiasts.
The SportAccord World Mind Games social, cultural and educational programme aims to develop sports’ influence in schools and to encourage youth participation in activities that build mental stamina, dexterity and concentration. Each participating International Sports Federation, in collaboration with the Beijing Olympic City Development Association (BODA) and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education, reach out to local youth to educate and help identify potential in the community.
